I was fortunate in that I was never one of the "In crowd," nor would I wish to be, many of the writers had their talents stifled to appease the few. Which is probably why I got pilloried, as I had the talent to write wide and varied stories, which drew readers to my books and the few at the top considered me a threat. The pointless futility of this is that I was a threat to nobody, I wrote what I wanted and hoped people might liked it; the only reason to consider me a threat was because I had vision and imagination.
Staying close as a group, they will no doubt sell a lot more books than I sell e-books; mainly because to keep in the gang you need to buy each others books and give 5 star ratings on Amazon.
The bottom line for this tale is mediocrity won in the end; those few people were the ones who backed the lady who fourteen months ago launched the on line attack which has killed my hopes of getting even e-books sold.
