This month saw the release of two new stories from the creator of the #BestSelling #SciFi series Forgestriker
Avenging Angel www.draft2digital.com/book/150338 is a twin-themed story of retribution. The first section is about seeking justice for "Ladies of the Night," and the second theme is about a rogue cop chasing ghosts from his past.
The Cursed www.draft2digital.com/book/187095 is the story of a vampire attempting to break a family curse by finding love. The story is centred on twin brothers - Dominic & Donovan - the problem arises in the fact that one of the twins wants to break the curse, and the other wishes to live the curse to the fullest.
They got it wrong AGAIN!
The weathermen forecast that the freak Spanish Plume weather would bring a heatwave, the like of that hasn't been felt in the UK, for 15 years.
I have one tiny question - WHERE?
Here in Bristol, the weather is more like mid-October than mid-August.
hereiamattheedge.blogspot.co.uk/2015/04/forgestriker-collection.html#.V7cPFU0rLnB is still 11 sales from the 700, but last night's four sales give me hope that the objective hereiamattheedge.blogspot.co.uk/2016/08/700-sales.html#.V7cPnk0rLnA can be reached by my birthday in mid-October.
A few months ago, when sales were flowing I thought perhaps my series hereiamattheedge.blogspot.co.uk/2015/04/forgestriker-collection.html#.V7Qt9E0rLnA would sell its 700th issue by my birthday in October. I have altered my thinking over the last month to realising I'll be lucky of it sees the 700 by its third anniversary next February.
Coming soon to Amazon and Draft2Digital will be the opening book in what I hope will be a series about a lady with a mission.
In the opener, there is unrest both in the city of Kedgetown and the suburbs where the underclass survive. Not only is there a vigilante loose, but a rogue cop.
Ghost stories sell in Australia
SNP & the EU
It is plain to see that Nicola Sturgeon has lost the plot - www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016/08/10/former-snp-cabinet-minister-warns-nicola-sturgeon-against-second/. Since #Brexit, the lady and the SNP have been hell bent on staying in the EU. This is despite the fact that every country in the EU (including Germany) has chosen to #LeaveEU because the link to the Euro has wrecked their economy.
She is adamant for a second referendum, although the option was thrown out at the last conference. Most of her countryman have realised that as much as the don't want England, for survival they have no choice.
In an off the grid theme, my friend, Julia, has asked me to write a political thriller.
This year is going to be monumental; with the collapse of the EU www.express.co.uk/news/world/697628/Brexit-news-European-Union-rethink-anti-austerity-alliance. The UK voting for a second female PM www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016/07/11/theresa-may-launches-conservative-leadership-bid-as-andrea-leads/, and the strong possibility of the USA voting for the first female President edition.cnn.com/2016/08/08/politics/hillary-clinton-donald-trump-cnn-poll-of-polls/index.html.
However, my title doesn't reflect on the ladies but on a power struggle in an imaginary country. A country going through an election year, where the choice is hard to make, not because the runners are good but because the outcome could define the Western world.
On one hand, you have a power-hungry candidate who will stop at nothing to succeed; a known liar with no concept of telling the truth, who wishes to allow bands of insurgents to invade the country.
On the other hand, you have a candidate who is a despot hungry to turn his country into a war zone if it stops the invaders. A candidate who has a bad track record financially and the urge to foul-mouth his opponents, but the candidate has mass appeal to the electorate in a time of crisis.
With the addition of my FBI story on Upwork www.upwork.com/my-stats/, I find myself in the pleasant situation of needing to take myself out of commission for a few weeks, as I now have two series of stories and this short story to write.
A place to read generalisms of my thoughts, some book related and others general chatter.
