I may be all of the above, but I still have grave doubts about my work; mainly because nothing sells.
I have always worried what would happen when I peaked, friends tell me that each work is better than the last and this worries me, as I set high standards and don't want to let people down with bad work-yet I feel, this year I have done that :(
Here are a few nice comments on some of my books.
Sea ghosts :- Alan September 13, 2012By Hazel
Alan's stories are always a good read ,I always enjoy his stories and hope many more will read and enjoy to
This book contains the short version of "The Love of the Sea," and "The Lost Ship" which is the story that came 3rd in a contest on FB last year.
Nerja:- One lady said she loved the story, but it left her heart racing.
The Dockland Murders/ Back from Ohandsworth:- Were praised by my former friend in Australia, Pat Ritter, and he is an ex-police sergeant.
One man on LinkedIn on hearing my description of Chronicles of Mark Johnson, likened the stories to the work of H.P. Lovecraft.
Many of my ghost stories have been likened to Edgar Allan Poe, the Ancient Mariner or Wilkie Collins too.
