Today, I witnessed a recurring danger and I am sure one of these days, my testimony will clear a driver of manslaughter. I saw a man in his mid-30's cross a road near our park, he was not only texting as he walked but had his earphones in; it is only a short road and if a car had come around the corner, the driver would not have been able to stop in time.
In recent months, I have almost been knocked down on zebra by drivers chatting on their cell phones; despite the fact talking on cell phones and driving being against the law and common sense.
I might have a guardian angel, but she cannot protect me from the crass stupidity of some people.
This is funny and yes it did (!) happen.
I was walking through the revolving doors leading out of one of malls and the man in front of me was so busy texting, he walked into the glass doors LOL
What made it funnier, he stopped in the middle to check how the door was moving and then...bump :)
I didn't believe it either, but I was only feet behind him when it happened and it took a supreme will power not to laugh.
