At times I feel like the Ray Milland character in the film The man with X-ray eyes. If you haven't seen the film, or can't recall the plot, I will explain.
In the film Mr. Milland plays a doctor who experiments with a chemical which allows him to see through things. In the beginning it was fun, seeing through clothes, as the film went on, he got to the point he needed the drug to maintain his eye-sight. The problem was the more he used the drug, the more he saw, until in the end it drive him mad. He was able to see through concrete, and unable to go out without dark glasses.
If you think I am being melodramatic, please let me explain myself.
For several months, I have had to limit my on line time, the reason for this is the longer I am on, the more I see. Some nights I don't see the screen, I see the lines which make the screen up, looking away doesn't help as all I see are the lines occurring on the keyboard.
When I turn the lights out in my room, I can see flashing yellow lines whizzing across the walls, and closing my eyes is of little use, I see flashing images of cubes.
