Good news-my right lung is doing well.
Bad news-owing to my EDS the left lung is struggling to cope and this leads to the shortness of breath and chest pains.
I might have to go in for checks for an illness known as Fabry's disease, this is an immune problem as my system is producing more fats than can be absorbed into my bloods.
I appear to be symptom free, but the specialist says she wants to run tests to be sure.
The irony of the situation is not lost on me, my mother's family are known for longevity and yet I might be the first to not reach 65, owing to illnesses inherited from her.
I pray I don't have this new disease-if I do, all plans are scrapped, for plans to reach 2020 have been cut back to reaching Jan, 2015, as Fabry's kills men by 58 and I am 57.
Have no fear, if this is the case-I will (!) fight to my last breath.
