I have been asked by several friends, on many occasions to write my life story.
As I am modest, and unassuming, I have politely declined the request; mainly because to me, my life isn't all that interesting or exciting. Also, in my opinion to write my life story would look arrogant of me to think I was that interesting. I work on the assumption it is better to have some one else sing your praises http://alsdomain.weebly.com/life-as-an-indie-ghostwriter/singing-my-praises than pat yourself on the back, as Confucius http://www.biography.com/people/confucius-9254926 would have said Man who pats himself on the back, is likely to end up with dislocated shoulder.
My view to some people may appear simplistic, but I am a simple man, I think that Self-praise is no praise. There are many people who have had worthy lives and deserve their lives to be noted, I am not one of them.
The interest started on a German site I used to be on. I wrote about some narrow escapes I'd had during my tour of Germany - I was in the RAF - and my friends got scared after reading the stories. I said at the time, It's scary to read about these things, but scarier when you know someone who's been there.
Interest in my life was further fueled by two blogs I wrote entitled Guardian Angels. The premise of these blog was to expand my theory that for some reason, I think I've had a guardian angel looking over my shoulder - a feeling I still hold.
The stories of Johnny Cooper that I write for our #Charity http://thepeacockwriters.weebly.com/ are based mainly on my childhood in @Yorkshire. If you buy our books, all the money goes to @charity.
Another reason for not writing my story is I don't think anyone would be interested in my life. I think because I was living the life, it never appeared anything unusual to me, certainly not exciting.
If anybody does want to know more about my life, please feel free to ask me. I may be coaxed to write my story if I get some interest.
