That fall, I wrote what became my most popular ghost story "Old Church Ghosts." https://www.draft2digital.com/book/40524
In the Fall of 2011 I had my first official publication, when OCG was published on line at Vintage Script magazine, in a Halloween special page.
2012 brought joy, and despair to me. My story Sea Ghosts https://www.draft2digital.com/book/32491 would have come third in a writing contest -- if it the contest hadn't been hacked twice -- in the end it was forced down to fourth, and with it went my hopes of getting work as a writer. I did beat the person who did the damage, but that is little joy, as she achieved her goal.
In the years after the contest, I wondered, is there room for an old-fashioned ghost story,in this modern world?
Try as I might, other than the recent success of St.Mary's, and the popularity of OCG, none of my other stories did a thing.
Old Church Ghosts is also available in a special edition https://www.draft2digital.com/book/32132 containing the previously unpublished version & in A Spooky Fall Harvest by the Peacock Writers, for our children's charity work http://alsdomain.weebly.com/the-peacock-writers#.VEYptiLF_Hs
The end result is I won't be doing any more ghost stories, i will be centring my attention on Sci-Fi, as people enjoy reading my Forgestriker series.
