I spent 2 1/2 years in the RAF stationed in Germany, during that time (1978 to 1980), the German government made a fatal error. They allowed the Ethiopians to live in the country, within months cities in the South were in riot and at the centre of them were the immigrants. Do you see why the problem is recurring today?
The problem is you have an increasing population of immigrants who did not contribute to the economy but needed food, water and health care. No economy can withstand such expenses.
When I was in Germany, most of the population were obsessed with money and were doing two jobs. This in my view was a throwback to the inter-war years, when the economy was so fragile people took their wages home in barrows.
