Ms. Collister is one of the UK's top folk singers and has been for two decades; she has worked with names such as Clive Gregson, Richard Thompson, Dave Kelly and Chris While to mention a few.
We met as a result of a sad personal occasion for me; when our dog Bonnie passed away, I went into such a decline that I reached the weight I was "supposed to be" for my height, but this didn't take into account my high bone content as I am not too over-weight; when I reached 12 stone I looked like skin and bone and my famly and friends thought I would die from malnutrition as I was not eating.
My wife pleaded with me to go to a concert as a birthday treat, and to please her I went to see Ms. Collister at the QEH centre, here in Bristol; over the years I saw Christine perform at venues both in Bristol and Cheltenham.
I was on her mailing list for concerts, and one week she posted about the Bridgnorth-now West Midlands-Folk Festival; this brought back memories as I was stationed not far from Bridgnorth when I was at RAF Cosford for my trade training, and remembered the lovely village, seperated by he River Severn.
It was at this concert that I made my first money from photograph sales. The picture above is taken at the concert with Oysterband-courtesy of the BBC-I was at this concert and did take some photographs.
I have used Bridgnorth for the setting in my zombie story. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00GCRPH6C / http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00GCRPH6C
