In my opinion Klingon Opera is similar to Vogon poetry-both suffer from a lack of tonal beauty and are enjoyed more by the performers.
I do refer to the original version of HHGTTG-as I refuse to watch the remake.
As a rule of thumb, remakes are rarely as good as the originals.
For example:- 1970's England and Get Carter with Michael Caine was a classic film and should never (!) have been transferred to the US with Stallone.
The same for The Italian Job, the classic car chases and the mix of Michael Caine, Sir Noel Coward and Benny Hill is impossible to beat.
There are some remakes I wish to watch, the new Dredd looks awesome.
One film which should never (!)have been made was the dreadful Charlton Heston movie-The Omega man-the only reason I can see for making the film is that he had to fulfil a contract. The story is so shallow it makes a pond seem like the Atlantic Ocean; in the 1970's there was a rush of films called Blackplotation and nearly all films had to have an Afro-American in them. To add to my horror of this film-it was remade a few years ago-probably one of the few films where the remake is better than the original.
