The term Vagrant Journalist was coined by the writer Hunter S. Thompson http://www.biography.com/people/hunter-s-thompson-9506260 to describe the journalists who populate the periodicals in the hope of getting a break.
This story is set in the pre-Lyndon Johnson era, in San Juan http://www.topuertorico.org/city/sanjuan.shtml at the time Fidel Castro was throwing Americans and other non-Cubans out of theCuba. Not long after this time, JFK almost took the world to war over the Bay of Pigs incident, this could have been a reason for his assassination.
Popular as his public persona was, his political stances were becoming a security risk to the USA, something had to be done before he brought the world to an end. Who killed JFK? There were too many possibilities to be sure.
In my opinion the man on the knoll was the "hit man," at the time of the shooting the cavalcade was heading straight to him, an easy shot. Oswald was set up as a patsy, that is why he was killed by gangster Jack Ruby, so the truth died with him.
At the time of the shooting LBJ was on the verge of being impeached for misuse of funds. JFK's death, and the sadness that ensued took away the threat, but the evidence still exists.
Bobby as an Attorney General made enemies, and I'm sure his death was related to some of his cases. You need to take a historical perspective on the shooting. 1960's America was a hotbed of political activity and siding with Martin Luther King at a time of heightened racial tensions was as good as signing a death warrant.
He was known for going up against organised crime, and the Mafia at a time when they mob were strong arming teamsters. One of his main targets was Union boss Jimmy Hoffa. There is in my mind no link between the brothers assassinations as both were men in power who no doubt had enemies. If they hadn't been brothers nobody would have said a word.
Edward - well this is a case of a drunken driver - nothing more, nothing less. True, he left the scene of the accident which is wrong. Again, if he hadn't been a Kennedy, nobody would have said a word, and the story would have died.
The family had a run of bad fortunes, and JFK almost brought the world to war, but consider this. If it had been any other family, would anyone be talking about a curse?
Mr. Thompson is known for his book about the pre-Nixon era http://www.rollingstone.com/politics/news/fear-and-loathing-in-las-vegas-19711111. A book that is written in a style called Gonzo Journalism http://www.theguardian.com/cities/2015/may/20/gonzo-journalism-cities-tribes-ethnographer-hunter-s-thompson, a style he not only created but mastered. In this style of writing, the writer put himself in the story and mixes fact and fiction to bring his story to life.
Like many #indie writers, I am hoping for a break. I doubt it will happen as the big six publishing houses still control the presses, even if more writers are breaking away every year.
