I have no idea what made the readers flock, but last night there were 440 readers and 456 pages read-I must be doing something right, but what?
The figures for last night show over a 240% increase from two the figures two days, when the blog struggled to reach 180 reads.
I am still uncertain as to the blog's future-as I previously stated I am running out of things to say, which I think are of interest-but after last night, I might give it another 6 months when it comes up for renewal, especially as this will take me past February and the result of the contest in Toronto
The first year I entered was a rush as I used the cover I won (shown in the link) as the point of the story and the 'editor' I had at the time turned out to be useless-I have since made the decision, she was jealous of my writing ability, shown when I beat her in a contest in Sept, 2012
After a bad year all around last year, mainly caused by a constant stream of cyber bullying from certain people on Bookrix, I was almost at the point of giving up writing to get some peace and quiet. When the invite came, I was totally unprepared and sent in a not verystory I had written, not surprisingly I got rejected.
This year, I made the decision months before the invite not to enter; I would be competing against writers who have sales reputations and contracts to write-what chance do I have to even get to the second stage? I thought. I had nothing prepared when the invite to enter came a few weeks ago and politely declined, but then had a change of mind after a series of event which led to http://alsdomain.weebly.com/9/post/2013/11/she-won.html#.Up3Wb9JdXDM .
I made the decision, to make one last stand to prove to myself that I might have been good had I not been forced out of 3rd position in the contest and robbed of the opportunity, so, I decided to re-write my previous on line series "The Word," which ran for 14 weeks and name it "The Indie Wars," http://alsdomain.weebly.com/9/post/2013/11/the-indie-20k.html#.Up3XdtJdXDM
I wrote the story for the contest and intend to include it in the series, where or when is still in debate, as the series is only in the early stages-this was the opinion of my new editor, Julia, to the entry http://alsdomain.weebly.com/9/post/2013/11/i-like-it-i-like-it-a-lot.html#.Up3YWdJdXDM
