A writer for a few dimes
I'd like to take the time to thank all my friends for their endless support of my writing, and those people who made alsdomain.weebly.com/forgestriker---the-hit-series.html the huge hit it became.
There are many reasons why I made this decision, money is an obvious choice for a top runner, as other than my short time on Upwork www.upwork.com/freelancers/~0115a52654d3cda29a I didn't make a lot for my efforts.
To me, one of the greatest difficulties was keeping a standard up, when I was competing against cheaper, and more numerous Asian writers - who in the end were the main reason I stopped.
To some people - me, not included - I was a bestseller. The reality of being a bestseller is I made less than $1 a day for all the success that Forgestriker has.
As I am no longer on Upwork, I shall be back to writing for nickels and dimes, so don't expect works of art. It takes many sales for me to get the price of a coffee. I need to keep my prices low to attempt to induce sales.
This isn't a rash decision, I've had this on my mind since the end of last year. Upwork was a final attempt to prove to myself that my work www.draft2digital.com/book/ had some value. I failed to convince myself of the most basic need as a writer, that is to believe in your work. If I can't convince myself - how can I convince the readers?
In recent months, I have had problems coming up with stories - mainly because I have lost interest in writing - the loss of interest was caused by a lack of interest from readers. If people can't spare a few nickels and dimes for hours of work, why should I bother writing?
Another factor is that I have trained my mind too well, and can no longer find stories in my memory that I think would have been good to write.
