This month, I am going to try and defeat one of my biggest phobias -- public speaking -- the reason is I am going to promote the work of the charity I write for http://alsdomain.weebly.com/the-peacock-writers.html
I haven't talked in public since my English Language exam at college -- which I passed -- I was offered the opportunity to talk about bird watching when I was in the RAF in Scotland, but nerves stopped me. Other than a short acceptance speech in Canada (for a prize), I haven't talked in public for 40 years.
Tomorrow (Wed, April 9th) I shall be going to another book signing, visiting Bristol this time is Harlan Coben. The last signing I attended was almost a year ago.
