I was informed by a post on Facebook yesterday, that I may be entitled to claim for injuries received during my term in the Royal Air Force.
I know that the tendon injury I incurred led to me being unable to walk without a leg support, and I am certain that the CS gas I was induced to, led to nasal damage and neuralgia.
The gas is not dangerous when used outside, but I was in the third group that entered the chamber. Not only did we have our gas to contend with, but the combined effect of the two previous groups as well.
Normally, the gas disperses in a light breeze, but we were in a confined shed with no air flow.
