I never intended to turn the blog into one of constant rants, and yet that is all I appear to do these days.
In the beginning it was fun, and for a while the blog thrived. At one time I was in the top 6 of blogs my friend Siggy Buckley read, but like the award for Chronicles of Mark Johnson that is history, and the last two years have been an endless struggle to keep going.
For a short time, I did believe I was a mediocre writer with a bit of talent, but that gets you nowhere if you lack money to thrust the books out.
2012 was my watershed year -- in more ways than one -- I won an award, beat my harshest critic in a FB contest. Since then, other than working with a wonderful editor, things have gone downhill, and I don't know what to do to stop the trend.
2014 started well with mass sales on B&N, but since May the sales are going down each month, to the point I considered putting them on here for free.
