My plan of action. For the next few months, I have no major plans beyond trying to motivate myself to write again. I will probably bring out a new e-book in the Johnny Cooper's Adventures series http://www.barnesandnoble.com/c/alan-place . If I can find the urge again, I may try to re-write A Sailor's Love, my ghost romance. This will at least go some way to reconciling my lost faith in my writing.
October. A lot is happening in October, including me going off line.
Why October? October is my birthday, the anniversary of my award, the anniversary of my first publicised story-- available in Old Church Ghosts - special edition- and also when my blog payment scheme runs out.
Wells Festival. The highlight of my October is the Wells Festival of Literature Short Story contest, which my story Flood Gates is entered in. My hope is to have a chance to win the Wyvern Trophy for the best short story for a writer in the SW of England.
New year, and new hopes. Even though I won't be on line after October, I have a short story which I sent to the BBC, being considered for a new series about unknown writers. If this story -- Lifeboat Heroes -- gets approved, I may enter it for the Tinniswood Award next year.
Will I continue to write? Most probably, even if only for a few close friends.
Will I put it out for sale? Probably not, even though my sales have increased at a stead rate since their fall in May. There is little interest in my work.
