With the outcome of Chronicles book 2 rests my fate, book 1 failed to get support, as did Pat Canella. This may end up being the last book I put on sale. If you think that is over-reacting, remember I have an award winning book which has been ignored for several months and the only sales in that time were for Holding Richmond.
Sure, you enjoyed Sexual Explosions but nobody bought a copy, I asked myself "Why spend weeks writing for people who don't care?" And to be honest, I got to the same view as you. If you can't spare a few dimes for a writer, why should I spend my time writing for you. It isn't as if I get a lot for my trouble.
Earlier in the year, I reappraised my goals for the year with respect to not getting a book in Warhammer's Black Library store. At the time I changed to getting one in Hammer & Bolter which is an on line short story selection. Then after further reconsidering I decided to write for friends only.
Another thought was for another book to reach 10 sales, which as this is now almost May, is quickly vanishing. You may say well you have 6 months, but consider that from a 7 sale weekend in June, it took Holding Richmond until new year to get 3 sales.
I had hoped HR may get to 20 sales but it has froze at 15.
