Last month-October 2013-Julia enrolled me on a course run by the same people called "Edit Your Novel," the lady running the course is the same one who set up AutoCrit.
After receiving the invite for the course, I weighed my options carefully as any lay out of funds needs to be calculated against possible sales and in this case I was dubious about spending the money as I see $0.35c for each e-book sold on Amazon.
Another thing which delayed my decision was the "Novel" aspect, there are many word lengths for a novel-depending what you read it can vary from 40,000 words to over 90,000-and although I was quite certain 40,000 was in my range; the top end range I saw as beyond my capability as I made my reputation as a short story writer.
After reading comments from others on the course, and getting brief comments about their biogs, I was more convinced about my unease at being on the course than ever-on the course are people who have been selling writers for years, people with degrees and here I was with no college education and no sales record-my thoughts were as I was at the bottom of the ladder, perhaps I might have more to gain in the long run.
I am now on the 5th week of the course and I can see an improvement in performance already.
With health issues to the fore in my mind, I decided to concentrate on one book at a time and for now that means all my writing time is going to finishing the longer version of http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00EZ84216 however, as I have no idea when or if I will finish the book, feel free to buy the shorter version, please. Any sales help me to continue writing :)
