Unbelievably, I entered one of my stories this year.
"The Lost Ship" will be judged over the week and to be honest, good as it is I don't expect a lot, however, you can read it. It is one of the stories in my "Sea Ghosts" collection, with a shorter version of "The Love of the Sea."
Last year, I might have had a chance of of a contract, as the story was set to take 3rd place in a contest, until the story got cheated out of its rightful position by somebody who could not accept I am a better writer than they are-they got a friend to hack the contest and push my story out of the top 3 :( .
Others say, this didn't make any difference as I beat my harshest critic in the contest, but at what cost and who won? I beat the person, but they achieved their goal by blocking my hopes of being seen by a publisher.
I would love nothing more than LS to get noticed here, but my hopes lie with the story forming the background to my horror story "The Rise of the Prospero."
